The region has many markets, such as the Willunga Farmers Market, which is a great place to source locally grown produce. It was the state’s first farmers market, and about 50 producers sell fresh primary produce, including regional specialties of almonds, olives and oils, avocados, blueberries and milk, cheeses and biodynamic beef from the lush pastures of Fleurieu Peninsula. This market is on every Saturday and is well worth a visit. There is also the Vale Market, Victor Harbor and Christies Beach markets, to name a few. The McLaren Vale Guide will have all the information on what weekends the markets are on throughout the year.
